If you're looking for a cliche - this isn't it ... Well kind of... - author

"Aren't Arabs known for terrorism?" he says, cocking his head to the side. I reply back "aren't Asians known for having small packages?". He leans in close, pinning me to the lockers, his dark eyes never leaving my wide-opened ones. My breath quickens. "No one has ever spoken to me like that Lay-la" testing my name on his tongue. He leans in, our noses barely touching. He whispers "Do you know what I do to bad little girls? I teach them a lesson."

Meet V. He isn't a K- pop idol, but he is equally dreamy. No one knows his actual name but what they do know is he's a dangerous guy. 'Stay away from him' they warn. 'He's trouble'. But for Layla, it goes in 1 ear and out the next, she believes 2 can play that game.

Meet Layla Dominique. She isn't exactly the good girl, she has dark secrets that are hidden deep within in her. Her older brother is in a gang and the gang life is no surprise to her. She and her brother move away from everything they knew to start fresh. But it isn't exactly what Layla thought it would be. More and more secrets start to uncover which leads to more and more questions.

Was it fate meeting the' bad boy'? Or destiny?
