He likes to pretend he has everything in control.
She loves the idea of everything being fucked up.

---

On the 16th of November 2018 Kara met two men for the first time. Two men that very soon came to have more of an impact on her life than anyone else she had encountered.
At 21 there was very little that was interesting in her life. Her parents were functional, in love, and they loved her very much. She'd had a rather normal childhood. She had been the ideal daughter, didn't drink too much or smoke weed all day like her best friend/college roommate. She had moved into her own place after graduating college, she'd found a great job as a copywriter.
Many would say she had a near perfect life, but she always felt there was something missing. However everything she knew changed on that fateful Friday, when she met Alex and Jess.

Nixon is the 3rd book in the Broken Series. (Ryan is the 1st, Brynn is the 2nd) Nixon leaves rehab early because he can't deal with being there anymore. His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
