As the Blade of Marmora and Voltron gain leverage against the Galra, Keith is sent back to the castle to visit with his teammates for a few days. While everyone happily welcomes Keith with open arms Lance chooses to keep his distance. Frustrated with Lance's unexplained bitter attitude, Keith confides his stresses to the red lion. Keith had been going through changes ever since he turned 16. His ears would enlarge and grow lavender colored fur, his hair would grow purple streaks, his tailbone would grow into a long lavender colored tail with longer hair on the end like a lion's. His teeth would grow to a point and his eyes would turn yellow. One day while Keith and Lance were on a mission, Lance gets extremely hurt and Keith snaps. Fully turning into a Galra and killing over 50 Galra soldiers. He sends Lance in the blue lion to the castle and decides that it would be better if he learned how to control this side of him by going to the Blade of Mamora.
