One slip of paper decided my fate but I don't want to be the person they will form me into, so I'm on the run.

I was taught that they were all bad and that no good comes from them, but when I see the fear in her eyes I take it all in. This girl has no intention of hurting anyone if I hadn't shown up she would have left.

I don't talk I just stay silent. I chose to be quiet because that is what it was when my parents left me, quiet.

I was teased for being a dork, always reading and studying, but that's the reason I survived the bomb.

They drag you around with metal chains, hit you and turn you into a experiment. "I bandaged everything the best I could. It will need stitches. However, I'm afraid that it is broken. Same as your leg. Broken and needs stitches. How's your head feeling? I haven't been able to get that sucker to stop bleeding." His voice sliced through the air. I stare at him, confused, looking around, wanting to be anywhere but here. He clears his throat once again. "Mate, did you hear me?" "How is your head feeling?" I close my eyes. What the fuck? What the fuck? I was angry, annoyed, and frightened. What, mate? What cruel world would make me mate with a wolf? No, no, no... My arm and leg were throbbing intensely. My head was screaming. I brought my fingers up to my head to try and rub the pain away. I needed to leave. Now. I told myself. My mind is still groggy, unable to swiftly move my body like I need to. I didn't even notice I was crying until his voice rang through my ears once again. His footsteps quickly, walking across the hardwood floor. The first book in the series Not very good lol 😆 Completed, still needs editing though let me know what you think!
