Adrienne Thomas is your average high school. She's smart, caring, stubborn, and sly. All Adrienne wanted was to keep her head down and get through high school without any trouble, apparently that wasn't possible being a cheerleader. Axel Rich on the other hand was a snobby, rich, entitled player. He was your stereotypical bad boy. He could get any girl he wanted with just a snap of his fingers. What will happen when Adrienne finds out that he's her new neighbour? -------------------------- "Thomas heads up", someone yelled from behind her. Adrienne spun around on her heels to see the problem. Before she could put her arms up or do anything to stop the football, Axel Rich, the school's baddest, bad boy was in front of her shielding her from the ball. He turned around, football in hand. "Stick to cheerleading", Axel said with a wink. Adrienne rolled her eyes and shoved passed him. She wanted nothing to do with him ever again.

Avery wrapped an arm around my waist to catch me before I could get out the door. He pushed me up against the door, trapping me between his body and the door. "What's wrong?" I asked innocently. His face hovered over mine, much closer than I was used to. His gaze didn't leave mine as he spoke. "It would have been different if I had told him from the start. You wanted me to lie for you. You started this. If we tell him what really happened, he would be pissed at me for lying to him." "Stormie, you got a phone call!" Mason yelled up the stairs. The closeness between Avery and me started to make my legs feel like Jell-O, and I couldn't make sense of it. Our breathing became heavier. His eyes trapped mine. "Answer him," Avery murmured. "Uh," I stammered. I cleared my throat. "Be down in a minute!" My voice came out higher than usual. My gaze still couldn't escape Avery's. My heart raced wildly as his chest rose and fell against mine. Avery's gaze flickered to my lips. What's happening? My gaze fell to his mouth, which was moving closer to mine.
