The Guardian

Centuries ago, when Wan became the first Avatar, he traveled along with his best friend to the protect the world and bring peace to every nation. His best friend became his guardian, someone who protects the Avatar from those who wish them harm. Ever since then, every Avatar in existence has had guardian to aid them. Even with all of the stories told of them, guardians are only seen as myths. What makes them unbelievable is that while they can't enter the Avatar State, guardians still use all of the elements, but fight with the powers of spiders and can become one with the spirits that inhabit their body.

Now, the roles of Avatar and Guardian have been passed onto Aang and Terra. They may not have known each other at the beginning of their lives but became the greatest of friends over time. After Aang ran away from the Southern air temple, Terra was sailing through a storm when he heard his friend ran away.

When the storm hit, he couldn't tell where he was going or see the flying bison heading towards his ship. With his ship destroyed, Terra thought he would've died that day, not even realizing he was frozen in a block of ice with the Avatar and his bison. And after a hundred years, the ice that held him broke off and he awoke in the Fire Nation in another time. The world has changed and it will take the combined powers of him and Aang to combat against the Fire Nation.
