Move out and move on.

When Satsuki Kusakabe's mother passed away, she wanted nothing more than to move on with her life. She wanted to escape her childhood home, haunted by the memory of her beloved mother.

When she receives a cryptic letter, informing her of Granny's sudden demise, Satsuki knows she must return home to face the ghosts she turned her back to. Only, when she does return home, she finds that her entire world has been turned upside down- disorder and imbalance now rule the Woods she had once grown up in.

Not only must Satsuki come to terms with her past, but realize that Granny knew much more than her innocent and unassuming disposition had lead them all to believe. Most importantly, Satsuki must restore balance to the Woods before the delicate division between her world and the next is destroyed. Standing at the edge of the Woods, she must not look back.

After all, it is not only the songbird that beckons at the bare wood's edge.
