The Russian mob is steadily growing in power throughout Los Angeles. Their most recent hostage situations involving L.A.'s SWAT team. Their most recent capture, a mobster lowlife named Mikel Shwetz, lets slip he has a friend within the police department who will help him out.
Detective Irina Nikolaev is that friend and before she has a chance to fully comprehend the danger she's putting herself into, she agrees to go undercover and reenter the crime family she swore to leave behind. Her captain refuses to let her go in alone, both because of the danger being caught and that Irina may flip, so SWAT sends in their own veteran Deacon Kay to make sure things run smoothly.
Trust begins to build between Irina and the Russians, while something else builds between her and Deacon.
