The following the death of her sister, pain and humiliation encircled Kari within her small village. Escaping from the unwanted gazes felt like a wish never to be granted. 

Abandoned in the forest, Kari is captured by a formidable being who is quick to cloister her in his home away from prying eyes.

Enveloped in mysteries that plague her mind with each passing day, she is sure the Guardian is not what the stories presumed him to be. However, that'll be the least of her worries as the forest becomes deadly every minute.

A dark force is usurping control over the lands, bending the realm as it desires.

Guardians are supposed to be in control of their territories, but it seems the forest is bowing to another.
