He looks at me from the end of my bed, his hand outstretched to shake my own. 

"Alright, so let's just be friends", he offers with a smile playing on his lips. 

"Friends." I repeat, taking his hand, holding his gaze as I swallow the lump in my throat. 

Before I can even process what's happening, he yanks my arm, pulling me on top of him and smiles from below me. God I could melt when he looks at me like that. 

"What?" I ask, biting my lip in a shy smile, and steadying myself by placing my hand on his chest. His eyes search over my face as if he's having an internal battle with himself to tell me what's on his mind or not. 

"Nevermind," he mutters, finally pulling my face to his and kissing me like his life depended on it.
