Humanity has an inherent tendency toward self-destruction.

Drowning in hate and hedonism, the worlds of humanity have not seen a true peace since the end of the Hydrian War. It has been decades since humanity saw any true technological advancement. Ruled by a decaying republic, for most of humanity, absolute loyalty and real morality no longer exist. This is the declining state of the Ariean Solar Year 4249.

Sickened by the state of the worlds, Charleston Reeter knows he and the rest of humanity were meant for something better. With the aid of a powerful AI harboring her own intentions, Reeter's New Era Movement will accept only perfection. People believe he will lead them to a future that is nothing less than heaven.

Admiral Gives has seen hell. To him, it's any day he's forced to work with reporters or politicians. There is nothing worse for one of the most hated members of the human race. It is not his business if the worlds of humanity want to tear themselves apart, provided they leave his ship alone. But humanity came to hate him for a reason: given the chance to save the worlds, Admiral Gives refused.

The rest of the human race never forgave him for it. It rendered him and his haunted battleship the embodiment of every evil Reeter has set out to exterminate.

Welcome to the dark side of human nature.

	Welcome aboard the Battleship Singularity.

Back cover In the late twenty-second century Humans have reached the stars, and they are not the first. Ancient technology has literally propelled them into the galaxy, and they find themselves far from alone. Three civilisations, more advanced by millennia, rule vast areas of space by cooperating with each other as the all-powerful Citadel. There are many other, less powerful species; Humanity is forced to join their ranks, low in the pecking order. As they explore and colonise new worlds, the Systems Alliance of Humans encounter the Batarians. Skirmishes ensue, avoiding an all-out war that might draw the attention of the Citadel. On a frontier colony, tragedy strikes time and again. Growing up knowing little else, eager to avenge a mother's death at the hands of Batarians, a youngster's journey begins to "be all they can be". But that may be something other than Human - and the shadow that falls across all of the Systems Alliance may be from within as well as without. This is the story of Sam Tarot, becoming an agent of the Systems Alliance Special Operations - on a mission to defend Humanity against all enemies. --*-- Want to know more? "Those aliens are not my concern, the Earth and her populations are. Now, Callisto of the Scout Regiment to Salutem, as a citizen of this planet and a soldier under my command-" "I stopped being a soldier a long time ago. And those aliens have done nothing to you, you didn't even know they existed until I told you about them. I joined this mission not because I was ordered to, but because I wanted to carve my name in history. But I will not mark my namesake as a murderer of the very first species we have found that is on par with human intelligence! If my legacy is to be the protector of those you refuse to acknowledge, then so be it." The room hissed and flowed with whispers and gossip between the different board members, like a waterfall being heard through thick earmuffs. The only voice to be clearly heard was Director Striker himself. "You are rooting for a lost cause, soldier. It is the manifest destiny of us humans to reach out and touch the stars. And if the only way to touch those stars is to sacrifice a few savages, then that is what we must do." Callisto felt her anger towards a man she once admired swell in her chest and wash through her veins with a burning fire. He was proposing mass genocide simply because he wanted what belonged to them. The wheel of history turns, but nothing is ever new it seemed. "Have you read a history book in your life, Director Striker? Manifest destiny is used a mere few pages before a genocide. It's not a motivation, it's an excuse." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fair warning: this is my very first original story so please be kind to my baby, she is a lifelong passion and a labor of love. •••COMPLETED••• •Please do not copy or post anywhere outside of these pages.

The Helian Vantage Nexus blankets the galaxy, its pristine white ships and gleaming corporate towers a symbol of order and prosperity. But beneath the surface, a different reality exists. One where opportunity comes at the price of freedom, and entire cultures are lost in the capitalistic pursuit to fuel a relentless machine of corporate expansion. They promise peace and prosperity while delivering only control and conformity. The people yearn for a galaxy free of capitalism. He is the Galactic Operations Director, the de facto ruler of HVN who has single handedly brought the known worlds to heel, shaping the galaxy to his will, and crushing dissent in his iron fist. Holding destiny itself in the palm of his hand and orchestrating the fate of trillions, he offers salvation the faithful. A visionary to his order, a tyrant to the treacherous and deceitful "unemployed," he is older, richer, and more powerful than any other human in existence. From his opulent station orbiting Helios, he pulls the strings of power, crushing any who dare to resist his vision. He is the architect of a system where souls are trapped in service to profit, and where even the faintest flicker of rebellion is met with swift and brutal retribution. But whispers of rebellion echo through the stars- the voices of the "unemployed," those who refuse to bow to the will of a man who calls himself GOD. The ones who will not accept an idea of HEAVEN so corrupt and amoral. The scattered glimpses of a resistance, lurking in the ringed shadows of forgotten planets and dying stars, dare to dream of a better future. This is a story of rebellion and redemption, of love and loss, where the fate of the galaxy rests on the shoulders of an unlikely band of heroes. In a galaxy drowning in corporate greed and enforced conformity, can a flicker of rebellion ignite a fire that will burn down an empire?
Darkness Within by ZirionGrande

In a galaxy millions of light-years away from Earth, humans, droids and other lifeforms co-exist. After the Great War, which lasted for over 4,500 years, 3 star systems agreed on a treaty, forming the Crescentian Republic and ending the war. The three leaders of the respective star systems decided that the centre of political power would be located on the planet of Dieusia. The population centre of Dieusia, Worf City, became the Federal District and housed the Senate Building and the different government districts. One thousand five hundred years later, the Crescentian Republic controlled several of the galaxy's trade routes and the respective 3 star systems prospered. Peace was established within the Republic and the newly-elected Supreme Chancellor Claudine Ghen, a human, introduced the Expansion Plan, which aimed to assimilate other star systems into the Crescentian Republic. This resulted in a massive uproar in the different star systems that were outside of the Republic's control. Leaders of those systems refused to give up their power, leaving Chancellor Ghen with no other choice but to use force. The first system that the Republic targeted was the Herranium System, governed by Duke Henry Revern IV. Hundreds of battlecruisers, carrying countless small fighters and troop transporters, made their way to Herranium. The first planet, Veres, was subdued quickly. From there, the Republic forces established a base, and within three years, the entire Herranium System was colonised by the Republic and Duke Henry IV was brought to Dieusia and was executed in front of a huge crowd. Now, it seems that the peace within the Republic may be compromised and a potential war may break out in the near future. The colonisation of Herranium only made the Chancellor bolder. Even some of the senators in the Crescentian Senate have secret plans. The darkness within will soon reveal itself, and no one knows when.

Summoning United Federation of Planets by earthfatking
3 parts Ongoing
Humanity had long struggled with its darker impulses, wars, destruction, and the looming threat of extinction. But with unparalleled resilience, humans rebuilt, united under a single banner, and reached for the stars. By 2288, the humans, under the banner of the United Federation of Planets had risen to become a galactic power, a galactic civilization that spanned the Milky Way. Yet, despite their monumental achievements, they found no trace of any other sentient species at their level. The universe, vast and unfathomable, appeared to be silent. For some, this was a cause for wonder, but for many others, it was a source of existential dread. Centuries old theories such as the "Great Filter" and "Rare Earth", long held as speculative musings, now felt all too real. Perhaps intelligent life was a cosmic fluke, a rarity so improbable that humanity stood alone at the pinnacle of evolution. But everything changed just before the Federation's historic voyage to Andromeda (M31). As their science vessel prepared for its journey across 2.6 million light years, something unprecedented occurred. In a flash, space itself seemed to twist and fold, as the Milky Way merged with another galaxy in instant, one far larger and older than their own. Now, in this strange, limitless frontier, humanity's greatest adventure was only just beginning. Would they adapt and survive, or uncover something beyond their wildest understanding? Only time would reveal the truth... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heavily influenced by Nihonkoku Shoukan by Minorou, Anime GATE and various nation summoned novels here in wattpad.
