My Wildest Dreams
Josh and Katie have been best friends since he first moved nextdoor midway through freshman year. They were attached to the hip and acted like they've known each other for years. Josh Parker was the all American boy who all the girls wanted, including Katie. As Katie and Josh's friendship blossomed she quickly formed a crush on Josh, but as the years progressed, her crush turned into love. Five years after leaving Miami brokenhearted after finding out about Josh's engagement to his childhood sweetheart. Katie unexpectedly reunites with her former best friend, and Josh quickly realizes that his feelings for her are not just platonic anymore. * As I'm walking out of work I get a call from my brother to pick my niece up from school. For the past 4 years that little girl has had me wrapped around her finger and I wouldn't have it any other way. Unfortunately I got stuck in traffic on the way over so I'm late for pick up. Once I get to Melanie's classroom I fill out the sign out sheet that's on the wall and make my way into the classroom. I faintly hear Melanie laughing so I know she's not upset from me being late. "Hey I'm so sorry. I got stuck in traff..." I said stopping mid sentence, stunned at the woman in front of me. Standing in front of me is someone I considered one of the most important people to me back in highschool. As soon as I looked into those Caribbean blue that I used to know so well, I knew it was her. It takes her a few seconds to realize who I am. She stands there stunned. A short story. *A group of teenagers gather on the sidewalk in front of a single-family home with a FOR SALE sign plunged into the freshly cut grass. They converse and hug their friend while crying. "We are going to miss you," they say. "Please keep in touch. We should do video calls as much as we can." Ellie, the teenager in the middle of the group, refrains from crying. She doesn't want to reveal any signs of weakness to them, wanting to remain strong to make their goodbyes less difficult. This isn't related to this story but, Hi i'm Kate. this is my first fully written story, though its only a short story i'm very proud of myself for fully committing to one theme and finishing it. This short story is very over dramatic and complicated because its my first story but I hope you enjoy. Description: "What are your summer plans?" My teacher asks the class. My classmates respond with the basic responses, vacation, beach, and hanging out with friends. I respond with vacation, but I don't even want to go to Orange County. It's not too far from where I live, but Sana Cruz and OC is a long drive. The bell rings, that means it's summer, that means I have to spend a whole summer away and with my dad, but my friends and I have plans to go have a bonfire at the peer tonight so at least ill have that before I leave all summer.Concluída
A Little Story About A Man And A Woman On A Highway
This story went through several iterations. It was inspired by some traffic I was enduring while on the highway. The section I was at curved around this big hill, almost like a small mountain with grass covering the top. I had this idea I called Rearview Romance where two characters would communicate with each other by writing messages back and forth while stuck in a similar kind of traffic. In the original idea, it ended with them dancing on the hill, inspiring others to get out and just enjoy the day and life a little bit. Obviously, it's evolved since then, but this was the kernel for the original story. Also, the Gone But Not Forgotten section below are characters I had to cut from the story for various reasons. I didn't want them to be forgotten though. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the story!Concluída
