Darci Cabot was born into Vampire Royalty. He is the middle son of Vlad's Second Council, and they tell him that he is to join instead of his older brother. He never wanted to be part of the Council, never wanted the pressures thrust upon him, but there is simply nothing he can do. The one thing shaming him, keeping him from the Council... he doesn't have his mate. Other Council members have children itching for their seat, mates at their side or a pull in their instincts...
