“I don’t know why you have to come or what you have to say but I know it’s not good,” she laughed teasingly. I raised my eyebrow and smiled, “You are right in thinking so. But this is your choice to make; I have a quest in mind which will require your…..skills,” I chose carefully nodding towards her wings.
She shifted in her seat uncomfortably before sighing loudly, “I will come.” Standing up I brought her closer and whispered, “You must be sure of this. Your father is against my coming but I believe you will make up your mind.”
Nodding her head she held out her arm and replied, “My skills are of your use.”

Unfortunately, his haunting eyes landed on the small human, seemingly examining her shaking figure closely. His lips curved into a grin, revealing his dangerously sharp teeth. “Run Maeve! Run!!” I could hear Phoenix’s voice yell to me in pain as I dashed through the woods while branches smacked me. I had to run faster, I had to escape, whatever that creature was it wanted me. I felt my feet slow down and my breathing sped up and I felt a burning sensation in my chest. I couldn’t stop; I couldn’t slow down….RUN! I forced my feet to move faster as I heard wings flapping just a few feet behind me. As much as I hated it I had to look, I had to see what’s going on. I screamed and pushed at him but he didn't budge. I then raised my knee and kneed him between the legs with all my force, and he dropped like a rock, holding his groin. Run. I took my chance.
