Everyone is born with grey bands around their arms that ignite with colour when that person touches their soulmate. The bands will glow when you are near your soulmate signifying your bond.
Namjoon must have all his bands ignited before he can claim the throne. That way he will be at his strongest when protecting the kingdom.
But despite his extensive search he is unable to find his last missing piece.
Therefore a ball is to be held in the hope of his finding his soulmate.
