Selene Estelle Astraea thinks that she is a normal child, at least in her world. But before she turns 12 her village is attacked by a mysterious group. 

She escapes with her childhood friend, Rikki. Although they survived the attack they have no where to go. To find a way to survive they must travel the world and find shelter. 

Two years after the attack on their village, teachers from Hybridge, the school known for only accepting half humans, aid Selene and Rikki back to their hometown so they can attend Hybridge.

A different type of species that was unwanted by the humans so they hid the hybrids away. There were many different types of hybrids. There were Neko, also known as cat people, or people with cat-like features, Werewolves, people with wolf-like features. Ghouls, or creatures of the night. There were also those stereotypical hybrids, such as vampires, zombie-like people, mermaid creatures-- the school's least favourite because of their background story-- and more. People didn't like these hybrids because they're different and that makes people fear them. "I'm not like them, you see, I accept everyone as they are, because, well.. I'm one of them! My name is Azura Night and I'm a neko! I have cat ears and retractable claws. On top of that, when I get angry, my eyes turn red!
