Hazel a 16 year old girl struggles with the existential dread of being both a teenager and ordinary. That is however, until she drunkenly injects herself with an experimental genetic engineering plasmid at her internship after work. Her and her best friend are then on the run from scientists who can't replicate the results on any other human, going from British boarding schools for witness protection and drug cartels to avoid being kidnapped.  Hazel gets the adrenaline fuelled life she always wanted, but learns that all the adrenaline in the world won't help her run from herself.
