As I'm climbing up this here tree, I'm pretty grateful that Ma let me wear pants. Instead of a dress. I don't think I could climb very well in a dress. Or even climb at all!
I reach a spot near around the middle of the tree and sit on a strong study branch. As I take in the woods 'round me I see somethin'. There's a clearin' over yonder in the woods. And in that there clearin', was a ginormous field of sunflowers!
I couldn't believe my eye! They were oh, so, pretty. I decide I'm gonna pick a dozen, for Ma and Charlotte. They'd be so surprised and happy!
As I'm scurryin' down I feel a raindrop plop down on my nose. Then another and another... Then the sky breaks out into a rain storm! I'm almost to the bottom of the tree here, when I'm being blinded by a flash of yellow light. Then there's a rather loud boom that follows it.
I jump in surprise, forgettin' for a moment to late, that I'm on a tree. I lose my footin' and slip. I shreak as I begin tumblin' down to the earth below me.
