Summary: The World Championship Series have begun. Follow Ash as he goes through a new stretch of his journey where he will have to uncover the mystery behind the newly formed Neo Team Rocket and how is newly met companion ties with them. This is an AU in which Ash is not the same as the Ash we know from the anime. He hasn't traveled with his companions and he is mostly cold hearted. As such, he is more independent and significantly better at battling than he is in the anime. Furthermore, he essentially has the same Pokemon that he does in the anime. The only differences being that some of his Pokemon will be evolved, ie Gible will be a Garchomp in this story. This story is also a furthershipping story. This is my first story so I apologize if it is cringe. Also, yeah the cover photo sucks LOL. Any and all criticism is appreciated. I have sat often in front of the computer, and stared long at the screen without ever writing a word. The synopsis for this project has haunted me since the first person asked me "So, what is it about?", and to this day I have never been able to deliver a straight answer. This book is about a number of things, many of which do not fit evenly into a succinct description. I have tried to make them fit and have found the resulting descriptions ill-representing and dull. Thus, I have decided to go without a description. This book will fade into obscurity no matter what I put here, so I might as well write what's really important. Winter in a city is an especially punishing time. This book comes out of my late nights and early mornings riding the train, and my looking at the window and being able to make out nothing but the blur of the glass. From the outside it may look dead, but certain people know that the inner workings of a city are a true marvel to behold. In writing this, I have tried to capture that marvel and deliver it to you, the reader. This is a book about a city and the people within it. The rest is up for you to read, if you so choose. Pyre lives on whether you experience it or not. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A science-fiction novel, updated whenever there is new material to post. The last cover was AI generated, so I spent some time making a crude cover of my own.
