Small youtuber Lillian goes to Australia to visit her childhood best friend Elliott (Muselk). However, that's not the only thing she is there for. She is there to compete in the Battle of the Youtubers, a competition in which 200 select youtubers with 4 million+ subscribers use their powers to win the competition. Lillian, a user of the rare and hated Black Magic, must reveal her powers to all of the other competitors before going into the Battle. She is determined to get through it, to face the fear of being outcasted, but her confidence wavers as an old enemy, an even older friend, shows up to put an end to her plan, and her life. Scared, she doesn't know if she can do it, but one boy, Lachlan Power, will stand by her side to get her through a traumatic past, a frightening present, and an unknown future.
