We wish we had soulmates.

Mara visits the graveyard once a year, at the beginning of Spring, before the heat of summer begins to build. The heat brings fourth a pain that had never dulled. Her sister has just had a child, who Mara knows will never face baptism. Her sister seeks refuge with her, because Mara might be the only one who understands Hope. There's somebody else who seems like they understand, they write about a time that neither could imagine. One in which they were allowed to chose love.
