The she-wolf snapped her head to the side, lip curling up as she recoiled. Her thoughts were like bitter herbs on her tongue. 
She let out a small chuff, quiet enough not to wake the nebulous, massive black wolf laying only a few yards away from her.

The wolf stirred slightly, ears pricking as he let out a slurred growl.
Aura wasn't afraid of him hearing her. She knew her time was limited. The lack of his heir was the only think keeping her and their other six pups alive. It would be soon though. She knew it. The next litter, Equinox and Eclipse would come.
