All her life, the only thing Zana had ever known was if she disobeyed her mother, there would be consequences. She had grown up being abused 24/7 by her mother and never had one moment where she was truly happy.
But...
One day she gets tired of her mom constantly hurting her and making her do everything she wants and she snapped at her mom. That was something Zana had fantasized about. She thought up the scenario where she would tell her mom off and run away to England and get married to someone who loved her. But what happened was far from that. She dose tell her mom off, but she definitely did not get the ending she wanted. Her mom slapped her and chained her in the backyard and left her there. It had been about 6 hours before her neighbour noticed her crying there and he called the police. Zana's mom went to jail and Zana went to foster care, moving from house to house over and over again.
Then, weird things start happening. Zana looses almost 50 percent of her memory and she starts acting really different, as if she didn't have a care in the world; Then snapping out of it and not even know where she is. Notes from someone she had never heard of start appearing in her room and she kept blacking out for hours at a time. She had called the police a couple of times because she was scared that she was being stalked but even after moving to different houses everywhere, these things keep happening. She tries one last thing to make it all go away.....
She ends up happy and she knows exactly who she is and where she is supposed to be. And nothing of the past will destroy her will to be happy ever again.

I just graduated high school and instead of celebrating it with my friends. I choose to go on a bus for an hour's ride to my sister's to celebrate my graduation with her and her friends. Nothing in my life had ever made sense. They told me it was normal, I'd grow into who I was supposed to be, that things would get better; here I am now, going through the motions and wondering if this was really what I was destined to do for the rest of my life. Turns out, it wasn't. Nothing in my life had ever made sense but that was because my memories were fractured, pieces of a person I used to be, one I used to know lurking in the shadows of my dreams. I was just a normal guy trying to navigate the world but saying yes to everything and falling into the same monotony just wasn't cutting it anymore. I had a steady job, a pretty girl seemed interested in me and my 22nd birthday was coming up just before Christmas to give me something to look forward to. That all changed when I remembered her. I'd never forgotten her truly, blue was the only thing I knew and that Neptunian shade was so striking it stuck with me from the night she screamed at me in the rain but it wasn't until I found all the papers, the notes and crystals that I started to remember the world she lived in. They say what's in the past keep it in the past but I wanted to know all about my past. It was things that I didn't know and that I wanted and needed to know! But my life turned upside down when my past is exactly what I should have left alone. Now if you ask me how it all began, I don't exactly remember but I know it started when I moved in with my grandma who I haven't met in all my twenty years of living. I have been in and out of foster homes since I can remember, living with families I knew nothing about. Being the outcast and them constantly asking me what's wrong because I simply did not speak. The only thing that kept me sane was my good grades throughout school. I got the satisfaction of doing the one thing that people kept telling me over and over I couldn't do. I stayed to myself and graduated high school with honors, getting a full-ride scholarship to any college of my choice. Of course, by having this accomplishment, it didn't make it any easier for me between my foster families. To them, I became the girl who was better than them. But I didn't care because when I turned twenty I finally got to start making my own choices. This is where I wonder if the first choice I made was the right one.
