Ms. Hayes closes her eyes as she fishes her hand around in the bowl of the girl names from the class. She does a little hum and then opens her eyes as she pulled out a strip of the pink paper. She unfolds it with her fingers and then smiles.
"Olivia Cruz." I look at her and she tosses my name to the side and writes it down on her clipboard on the desk. "And now lets find out who the daddy of your baby will be."
I sit in agony as half the class snickered at our teacher saying the word "daddy" due to its sexual meaning.
"Class, drumroll please." Ms. Hayes reaches into the other bowl and fiddles around before pulling out a name. She unfolds it, the drumming still going from my classmates, and then smirks. "This is a cute couple. Olivia, your partner for the semester is Shawn Mendes."
Shawn turns around and looks at me, then back at Ms. Hayes and says, "No fucking way."
