Note: This is, in fact, a real picture I took of a pavement underneath the Ohio overpass. I actually saw the man as he was writing it one morning. And I didn't pay much attention to it until I managed to read it on my way home. When I did, what I read broke my heart and made me think, "What if I placed myself in his shoes?" People like him have a story to tell. And while they're a part of society which society would rather forget, let's keep in mind the struggle they must have been through to drag them to their current state. They did not want this life, I mean, I don't think anybody would want this life. But life in L.A. is not easy and I can't help but empathize with people suffering from anxiety and depression. You'll never know what it feels like until you've been on the other side - until you've been IN THEIR SHOES.
