A new drug named Strix made to help the adaptaion process in humans, did its job a little too well though. What the world didn't know about the new drug was the new virus inside, this virus targets the blood of any infected making it hader for people infected to make enough blood cells that the body needs. With the sped up adaptaion process, people infected have now discovered how to get their necessary blood by drinking from the uninfected until they are drained dry. I'm Sophie, I've lived my entire life in fear of these infected people, but when I am captured by one, what am i suppose to do?

Three years have passed and it seems that everything has gone back to normal, well almost. We had only got the cure last year. For a full year we had been searching for some kind of science lab, but we weren't able to find anything. We went west about god knows how many miles and were able to find someplace called Diversified Service. I've never heard of the name before, but I knew that it was a scientific field. When we all gave the cure to the frightened man that tried to kill us, he made sure there was plenty of it. After giving it to hundreds of people, there was no way we were going back to our original towns. We were living in an abandoned mansion that was just about 3 blocks down the road and into a hidden path beside the woods. Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. Not The Last {Rough Draft}
~Thank you for the continued love for this series! I was 13 when I began this book, and am now taking the time to go back to completely rewrite it, and maybe just publish someday~ I'm 15 and my name is Astrix. Let's start with that.
