Frisk has been living in a life of torment. A life she never deserved. All based upon a terrible rumor surrounding her family. In order to prove her innocence, she travels up Mt. Ebbot but ends up falling to the monster realm beneath the mountain. As she travels to make her way back to the surface, she meets many monsters, often befriending them and maybe even forming a little crush on a few. From meeting motherly goat ladies to pun making skeletons, Frisk ends up making a tragic decision in helping a hidden man lost in complete darkness. With his aid, she must travel through various universes for various reasons. Will she ever find her way back home? Will she even want to come home? And will she ever find her true reality? Or the one monster who stole her heart?

Frisk has freed the monsters of the Underground. Finally, monster kind is allowed to return to the surface. It's been 3 years since then. Yet the monsters still struggle to find their place within the world. Most accept the monsters, but there are those who wish nothing more than the complete annihilation of monster kind. Merely sealing them away is not enough. As ambassador for the monsters, it is Frisk's responsibility to fight for everyone's right to live on the surface. But at the same time, an internal battle rages on within her. Not only that, her relationship with Sans is strained. Trust is not so easily regained after the slaughter of one's beloved, despite it all being erased. Or was it really?
