This is a guide to dating someone with depression. It's pretty self-explanatory, I guess. This shows different aspects of what it's like to love and be loved by someone with depression. If you have a question about something I haven't covered yet and want me to write about it, shoot me a message or comment. ****DISCLAIMER***** this can be triggering to some people. Also, this is not a 100% on every person with depression. Though everyone with depression is given the same titles, it doesn't affect us all the same. Thus, the advice I give or stories I write in relation to this doesn't work the same for everyone. I will try to give general advice and give warnings about something specific to subcategories of people with depression. However, if you have depression or are with someone who does and find these things don't apply to you or your SO, feel free to send me your input so I may add them to my chapters and we can make everyone's experiences in love a little better. ❤️❤️ Lastly, I am in a heterosexual relationship, and thought I believe all love is the same, the way females interact with females and males interact with males is likely not the same as a male interacting with a female. Similarly, I am a female, and a male dealing with depression is likely vastly different than a female dealing with depression. I may have my boyfriend write a few articles (as I believe he deals with it as well) to help expand our audience, but as of writing this, he isn't even aware I'm writing this

There are a lot of things you don't really think about until they happen to you. Take rape, for instance. I always thought, "That won't happen to me. I have a boyfriend. I trust him. He would never take advantage of me like that..." I couldn't have been more wrong. Love in this day and age is often confused for manipulation and abuse. The warning signs are here. The things we say will tell us everything that is wrong. You are worth more than what you think you are. It's not your fault. If they tell you otherwise, get out. Burn the bridge. Always remember someone is waiting for you to walk into their life. Someone needs you. Someone loves you. Getting away from all of the wrong people and finding the right ones could save you. I can promise you right now that it saved me. These are the journal entries and selected poems from my first experience of love that left a unpleasant taste in my mouth- quite literally. I am putting this out for the whole world to see because I hope everyone will learn from my experience. People can see. We have no excuses to continue living our lives in ignorance. ...WARNING...
