as it was raining, i was driving behind this white truck when it slammed on its brakes, making me do the same. soon the passenger door flung open and a girl was shoved onto the hard concrete curb. soon a baby wrapped in a blanket was thrown to her as a bag that looked like it was full of clothes was thrown too. i noticed she was screaming and crying. not even 10 seconds later the white passenger door was slammed shut by the person sitting inside and the truck drove off. i parked on the side of the road and hurried to go over to the girl and the baby. the girl looked around my age and was trying to keep the baby quiet as it was crying. "are you okay?" I asked her walking up to her grabbing her arm. "no-" she said crying even more now. my heart broke for her.

In the corner of my eye I see movement in in the neighbors house through my window. As I look over I see the teenage boy from earlier. Still in complete black clothing, tan, pretty tall, and a single earring. He was putting down boxes in the room and laying down on his bed. It seemed like a Kodak moment, our eyes met. It didn't last long. He got up, glared at me, then shut his Navy Blue curtains shut forcefully. That afternoon changed my perspective on the guy, I realized my neighbor was a psycho who hurt anything he loved. Little did I know I was the thing he loved.
