Nerina Monroe has lived her entire life on the small fishing island of Bernig, working with her father in the bait and tackle shop. He's always given her complete freedom to roam around the island with her best friend Ryan but one thing he's never let her do: Go out on his boat. Or rather, any boat.
There's nothing she longs for more than to go explore the ocean like her father does every single day. One day, things begin to unravel and she finally learns why she was never allowed.
With the help of her best friend and the new friends she makes along the way, Nerina learns to be careful what you wish for and discovers more about herself and the water than she ever knew possible.
