~ a BTS fanfiction ~
In one split second, a star could explode. In that short perception of time, a galaxy could be created at the edge of the universe. In a single moment, a universe could shift with the weight of a heavy burden. Cherisse knows this phenomenon better than anyone. Since her parents passed away at the worst time to experience death as a child - when she was old enough to remember but young enough to not understand that they were never coming back - her life has been composed of hardships and tribulations. She has been forced to dry her own tears and push herself back on her feet; she has learned never to get close to anyone again, because love is a vulnerability that no one can afford to risk.

That is, until seven boys present a beacon of light in her closed-off world. They replaced the stars in her galaxy and set her universe back on its kilter. They brought a smile to her face and warmth to her heart. They changed her life and she began to feel like there was hope in the world - that, perhaps, she could love again. They became the brightest stars in her galaxy.

But, of course, no bright star can last, for no matter how many times you try to revive it, all stars die in the end.

"Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope" - Maya Angelou

{ᴛᴀᴇʜʏᴜɴɢ x ʀᴇᴀᴅᴇʀ} "You know what? I'm more than angry. I'm furious. You throw away my feelings like they're nothing. Like I'm nothing. And then you go and make out with my best friend." She stayed silent for a while. "Forget it. You don't have feelings for me. Forget it." "Taehyung, I do have feelings for you, it's just-" "No, you don't. If you did, then you wouldn't treat me like a paper bag, or like I'm just at your disposal." I was starting to lose my grip, my legs felt like jello and I could barely see her anymore. "Taehyung, you aren't just at my disposal. I really do-" "Forget-" "Taehyung." Her voice was stern and I stopped suddenly. "You don't see what I see. I see this amazing, charming and handsome man in front of me. I smile when thinking about you. I want to do everything in my power to make you happy, but it's just that I'm still figuring out my feelings for Jungkook too." She sighed. I paused and processed all of her words. Her words felt like rich velvet throughout my body, but my mind was racing. She still has to choose. She still doesn't have enough feelings for you to pick you. You're still not enough. "Until you're able to choose, I won't believe you." ☾☼☽☼☾☼☽☼☾☼☽ Contains mature themes such as gore, language, and slightly sexual interactions. "If you wait for the perfect moment to be happy, you might waste your whole life waiting." It's such a powerful sentence, isn't it? It speaks volumes about living in the moment, about letting go of the 'what-ifs' and 'maybes,' and just embracing the now. She's carefree, with a heart that laughs at the small joys in life. She never worries about tomorrow, simply enjoying the beauty of today. He, on the other hand, is serious, rarely cracking a smile as he's buried under the weight of his responsibilities. His life revolves around work, and the constant strain of family matters keeps him trapped in a cycle of stress and exhaustion. When they meet, it's like day and night colliding. Slowly, she pulls him out of his gloom, making him feel alive in ways he had long forgotten. Her laughter becomes his escape, her carefree nature, his lifeline. They fall in love-his world starts to brighten because of her. But just as he's ready to commit, ready to make her his, she steps back. She's hiding something, something that makes her hesitant to settle down. He can't understand why-why someone who lives life so freely would suddenly pull away. What could she be hiding?
