When Ava and her friends decide to play their own version of "Truth or Dare", Ava winds up kissing someone she never expected... and wanting more? --STORY SAMPLE: When I was closer than a foot from him, I tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around and smiled. Oh my lord. This guy was even hotter up close. I shoved all the thoughts from my head and said "Hi. My name's Ava." He smiled again and said "Nice to meet you. I'm Zander." That's all he could say before I kissed him. He immediately tensed up, but then he did something I didn't expect. He kissed me back and grabbed my waist, pulling me closer. I opened my mouth a little in shock, and his tongue went in my mouth. He tasted like rainwater and peppermint. Despite myself, I moaned a little when he deepened the kiss even further. After what felt like 2 hours, we broke apart. "I'm sorry," he said blushing a little "but it just kinda clicked." he explained, rubbing the back of his neck. "It's okay." I said, also starting to blush a little. For 2 minutes the awkward just settled between us, and I swear it was tangible. He broke the silence first, finally meeting my eyes and not staring at his high-tops. "So...", he started and chuckled nervously "Could I get your number?" I stared at him for a second wondering if it would even be a good idea, when he said "I know we don't know each other, but I felt fireworks just now, and even if we don't go on a date, I'd love to see you again." Delilah moves from New York to a school where the fake popular kids claim her as their own. Making it impossible to make real friends. It isn't until she gets partnered with the mute boy for an assignment that she finally makes a real connection. She makes it her mission to get to now him. Although he doesn't want to be known. He's scared that once she gets to know him she'll leave like everyone else. But what they both don't expect is that music has a way of bringing people together. This book is a dual POV. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "That's incredible. You're incredible." My eyes widen and I look into her eyes again. A blush makes a way to her face and I can tell she didn't mean to say that last part out loud. But she did. And I can't stop myself from taking what she said to heart. It's been a long time since anyone has said anything remotely close to that to me. I can't let it get to me. I can't get used to it. Being hopeful. The higher you rise, the farther you fall. "Do you think you could make a song I can sing to?" She asks me timidly. I hesitate to say no. If I say no then she might spiral again. This is her hope. Her light to the darkness. She finally has something to look forward to and to distract her. As I mull over it I see the hope in her eyes dwindle. She doesn't expect me to say yes. After leaving Oxfordshire in 1988, six years prior, Thom decides to return to try and fix things with his old friends. I've also started four other stories... including this one... I'm waisting my time. But it think this one will be cute and angsty or whatever. I've wanted to write a Thonny story for a bit. Did you really think this story was my original idea? Well, you thought wrong. This story is inspired by a story I read on Ao3 a while back. I'm not completely basing this story off that, just a little bit of the plot bc it made me cry really hard and I loved it.
