After narrowly escaping the frozen nightmare of Tau Volantis, Isaac Clarke and John Carver believe they have survived the worst. But their relief is short-lived. As they approach Earth, they find it under siege by the Brethren Moons-cosmic nightmares awakened by their actions. Their ship is torn from the sky, crashing into one of the monstrous entities, and when they awaken, they find themselves on a world consumed by madness.
Earth is unrecognizable. Cities lie in ruin, the streets flooded with Necromorphs, and the survivors are few and scattered. The Markers' influence has infected everything, twisting reality itself. With time running out, Isaac and Carver must navigate the horrors of a dying planet, struggling to hold onto their sanity and their uneasy alliance.
