As a young girl, Minette loved her family more than anything, but she didn't realize she'd be the one responsible for her five siblings when her parents disappear after seemingly going for a night on the town.
Now Minette is 21, living in an old two-story house struggling to take care of her quite large family. Even then, the nagging feeling that her parents are still out there continues to haunt her whole being, with resurfacing nightmares and flashbacks.
As she continues to flow along, the help of the people she meets on her harboring journey may be the reason she makes it out alright, though the details of her past may keep her true self hidden in every way.

But eventually all her big brother's had left without looking back and it was just her, her twin Wes and their mother whenever she was around. They got along just fine for the next two years, they somehow managed to get through the tough times together and they thought it would stay that way, the two of them against the world. Until their mother got pregnant and they had the responsibility of raising their baby sister at the age of 11. They pulled through and it was now the three of them against the world. They believe they can get through anything and they hope that's true when suddenly the brothers who disappeared years ago start to show up looking to mend their relationship with the twins who hold a deep hatred for their older brothers. Can they fix the broken relationship with the twins and build a new one with their new baby sister? Or is it too late? --- It's better than it sounds.

Katelyn has been in and out of the foster system since her mother died when she was young. After her father gets put in jail again, she gets sent to live with the Thomas family. The Thomas's are a very well-off family with four boys. Their house is usually the main hangout for the boys and their friends. Kate hasn't ever lived with siblings before, let alone this many boys, so it's a big change for her. Daniel is your typical high school football player; he's got the looks, the muscles, talent, and even the overbearing dad who wants him to go pro. Daniel, however, really couldn't care less about a career in football, he loves the game, but it's his dad's dream for him to go pro, not his own. At least not anymore. He spends most of his free time away from his house and hanging out at either the Thomas or the Copperfield house. He can't wait to go off to college with his friends and get away from his dad and the stupid little town he grew up in. How will things change for them over the next year? This will be a series of 4, but the other books will be spin-offs and can be read as stand-alone books. They will, however, be published in chronological order. Full warning, this book is much shorter than I intend on making the spin-offs. I was planning on writing book two as the first in the series but found myself needing more of a prequel to all three other books, and so I chose to write something from their high school years. Bonus points for giving Daniel a love interest that was more than just a name.Complete
