Breaking the Glass Around Us

Aurora is just an ordinary girl who had just transferred schools. Well she's almost ordinary, when she was about 7, she caught a disease that messes with your vocal cords. 98% of people who catch this disease can't speak for the rest of there lives, unless they get a surgery that can fix their vocal cords but its risky. She's a junior in high school, she's usually happy, and has a lot of unique hobbies. She doesn't let her condition stop her but when she shows up on the first day of school with her whole right arm, some of both of her legs, and her neck bandaged, people give her dirty looks. Nobody asks about the bandages but Aurora could feel people staring at her all day making her uncomfortable.
