Everyone has that one secret about their family they hope never sees the light of day. For most people it's an embarrassing story or an eccentric relative; for me it's who my entire family is. If my fellow classmates knew who I had been raised by, or fathered by, I would become cast out, a black spot on their memory. It shouldn't bother me, especially since I loved my uncle, the man who raised me and loved me in return; but I wanted to fit in. I wanted to have a normal school experience. If only I knew how stupid that idea was...

Ivy Hamilton, otherwise known as Ivory Black, was left under a bush on Hamilton street as a child and brought to an orphanage. There, she was found by her uncle, Severus Snape, potions master at Hogwarts.

Moving into her third year, Ivy Hamilton, known only to her uncle as Ivory Black, is as frazzled by the escape of notorious murdered, Sirius Black as everyone else. Though, possible a little more then her fellow classmates. Her uncle always told her not to ask questions about her father, and now she knew why. She had always hoped it was because Severus hated her father, but now she knew the truth. But her father didn't. Only Severus and a few others knew she was still alive. While everyone worries about Harry's safety, Ivy must come to terms with who she is and where she came from in order to survive.
