The loneliness came gradually. I looked out towards the distant horizon, that beckoning, tempting horizon. It taunted me. It called to me. Never had I wished more for a pair of wings, and I knew that if I had wings I'd fly away and never look back. The city, school, the people I knew, they held nothing for me anymore. And I was nothing to them. I knew this in the way that the coldness of the buildings payed me no heed when I walked passed them. I knew this from the way I'd spoken less than twenty words to my family in the past week. I knew this in the way I walked through school, never stopping to greet anyone else, head down, shoulders slumped. My name is Koryn. That was me, less then a year ago. And then things changed. The stranger under the willow tree
On a frigid and blustery October evening, the radiant moon cast its glow upon a solitary willow tree, perched atop a hill. Beneath the tree sat a mysterious man, clutching a large, worn storybook. Suddenly, his gaze was drawn to a child, no more than 10 to 13 years old, wandering aimlessly nearby. With a welcoming gesture, the man motioned the child over to him. "Why are you out here all alone on such a freezing night?" he inquired with concern. The child merely shrugged in response. The man sighed and reached out his hand, offering it to the shivering youngster. Without hesitation, the little boy took hold of the man's hand and they made their way over to the willow tree where a cozy fire was already burning. "Here you are, little one," the man said gently. "Let's get you nice and warm." Seated by the fire, the child's eyes were drawn to the book resting against the tree. With a pointed finger, he indicated his desire for a story. The man smiled kindly. "Well then, let's dive into some tales, shall we?"Terminé

"Is she breathing?" a male voice asked. It didn't sound familiar at all, so it was probably a police officer or medic. Then again, nothing sounded familiar right now. I could hear screaming and crying all around me. I felt soaking wet and hot at the same time, which I didn't think was possible and I could feel someone gently shaking me. "Uggggnnnnnmmm," I groaned. "She's alive! Come on kid, wake up," another man exclaimed. "Nooooooooooo," I groaned again. I felt so tired, I just wanted to go back to sleep, but whoever was shaking me wouldn't stop. "We'll never break right?" she suddenly asked still gazing at the sky. I chuckled bringing her closer to me "I promise I'll not let anyone or anything break us" I promised. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "You don't have to go" she said sniffling. "I have to Sam. It's for the best" I said and kissed her forehead. As soon as I kissed her, she burst into breathless tears. "Please Nick, please don't go. What about her? What about me?" she said motioning towards the my new born daughter. "She has you and Bryan. I'm sure he'll be a great dad for her" I said and forced a smile. She continued crying and I hugged her tight to calm her down. After she quieted down into soft sniffles I broke the hug and said "Good bye". I didn't look back after that because if I did, I would start having second thoughts about my decision. I pacified myself saying that 'It's for the best'. But was it really so?Terminé

Her pov: The wedding news of her ex-husband and his sister in law broke her heart in pieces. The betrayal she faced due to those two left a scar on her heart. She really hoped that someday she will be able to recover and avenge all the tears she shed for those monsters. His pov: His childhood love was getting married to the man of her dreams. He couldn't ever express his feelings infront of her in fear of losing out her friendship. He wished all the happiness for her.
