Not the boy who saved her from a playground meltdown. Not the best friend who became her first kiss... her first love... her everything. But when he moved across the world, he left her with nothing but a broken promise and a gold star necklace she still wears like a scar. She swore she'd wait. He swore they'd find each other again. But two weeks after he came back, he was holding another girl's hand. Now it's war. And Lisa's done playing soft. Noah thought leaving Lisa behind would protect them both. He didn't expect to fall apart without her. Neither did he expect to learn the truth-something so brutal it made him question every moment they'd ever shared and see her as a stranger in the skin of the girl he once loved. And he definitely didn't expect to fall into someone else's arms trying to forget the taste of her lips. But Lisa's not the shy girl he left behind. She's colder now. Hotter, too. And every time he looks at her like he hates her, he wants to grab her and make her remember everything. This isn't just a breakup. It's unfinished business. First love never dies. But it might just destroy them both. π“π‘πˆπ†π†π„π‘/π‚πŽππ“π„ππ“ ππŽπ“πˆπ‚π„ : β₯ mature/sexual themes β₯ alcohol references β₯ language β₯ mild violence β₯ SLOWBURN! word count- 130,000 started- July 07 2023, Finished- May 2025 Copyright all rights reserved
Dear Richie by Aquamarine1999
42 parts Complete
Cover done by the all-time amazing and fabulous @Amelia_collins_. "Maybe one day you'll realize how much you mean to me." One day she had it all. The best friend. The unforgettable memories. The soccer talent. The naive life. But that changed when she went to high school. Enter Leia Meadows. She isn't the brightest girl in school, but that doesn't stop her from pushing herself. She thought freshman year was going to be a blast, with her sophomore friend Annaleigh Rushman by her side. As luck would have it, Leia came into high school without a single friend, Annie having moved on to bigger and better things. But just when she thinks it could get worse, she bumps into Chris "Richie" Richards, a sophomore who just so happens to be one of the most popular kids in school. Cue romantic music. Yup, as cliche as it sounds, Leia falls head over heels in love with Richie, feeling the impulse to write him letters. Despite the trouble she's heading into, she believes that maybe, just maybe, he could be the solution to all of her problems. But, oh, just when Leia thinks she has him, he gets a date. And that's not even the best part. (Note the sarcasm). After a whole year, she thought she had it all under control. She was badly mistaken. Enter...all of the cruel bullies and helpless bystanders. Poor, naive Leia has to go through the next three years being terribly teased, beaten, and harassed by other kids in school. Will she ever make it through high school alive? °°°°°°°°°°°°°°° I'd like to note that this may sound cheesy, and I'm sorry if so. But, please, don't let that stop you from reading. This story is for all those who have ever been bullied, whether it was verbal, physical, cyber, or what have you. I hope you enjoy this book and are able to connect with Leia as a character.
