THE AMBY AWARDS 2022 WINNER (Best Series) Book One (Book Three of the trilogy is on the WATTYS 2022 SHORTLIST) Wattpad featured story. The Adept Pen 21 finalist. Samara, a young woman from London, visits Bran Castle in Romania during a Halloween night. Somehow, she's always felt drawn to the story of Vlad the Impaler, the historical character who allegedly inspired the writer, Bram Stoker, to write his Count Dracula. Annoyed by her noisy friends, she strolls behind her group when they enter the castle and thus gets approached by their tall dark and handsome guide. Samara can't fight the attraction she feels for him, even after he claims to be Vlad Dracul himself, obviously making fun of her...or? At the end of the tour, unable to resist her curiosity, she follows the guide through a dark corridor and time travels to another time, a late medieval world populated by very unusual vampires, where she had once belonged. The mysterious guide turns out to be her husband, none less than Vlad III, the Prince of Wallachia, the Impaler... Dracula. Samara's memories start to trickle back slowly, both good and bad. The man she loves so much that she feels overcome by her feelings for him is not exactly as he was when she left him before, when she... died. A lot of things have changed in her absence, in six hundred years. But she is changed too, having grown up in the 21st century this time around, she is not quite the same girl as when she lived in Vlad's castle, in the late medievals. Will the great love they feel for each other despite their long separation be strong enough to overcome all their differences? Will Samara and Vlad accept each other as they are now and fight for their love? Will they defend it in the dangerous world they live in, full of people, or better vampires, who would rather see them apart? But have I ever believed those stories would actually be true? Nó, I mean, who would? Yet, just one night changes it all. After I thought my day couldn't get any worse, I meet a guy which has more than necessarily showed me to have no restraint at all. But the mysterious jet-black haired guy with the penetrating, amber eyes wasn't someome unfamiliar. I had already seen him somewhere.. but what do I know him from again? Then there's Sam, apparantly his older cousin - the wiser one with the better intensions. At least, that was my first impression.. FYI: English is not my native language. I'm Dutch. When they reached the ground two of the strigoi charged at me one was a woman and the other two were men. The woman came at me trying to grab my throat but I swiftly dodged her hand and kick her in the stomach ''You little bitch I'm going to rip you limb from limb'' she yelled with a low voice. I bolted towards her ''Not in you lifetime you old hag.'' I threw a few a punch and kick her against one of the trees. In that split second that she wasn't regesturing I drove my stake thru her heart she let out a shriek and her body fell to the ground.Complete
