Forced to move from her fire struck home in Lawrence, Riley Malone relocates to live with her grandparents in Maryland, being enrolled in school for the rest of the year , which was only a few months, while the rebuild takes place. She is enjoying her stay, until she meets the neighbor boy, Parker Hawthorn, a cocky and annoying 17 year old.
