"Do you trust me?" he asked, still staring at the gray door.
"Of course not," I said, as if the idea were absurd.
A ghost of a smile crept at the corner of his mouth. His hand latched onto my arm. Panic started to pool out of my nerves. I glanced back and forth between his gloved hand and the concealing hood upon his head.
Curiosity never hit me so deeply than it did at that moment, as I wondered who was under the hood. Who it was that I was supposed to trust.
     "Who are you?"
I timidly reached my free hand up to his head, fingers tingling all the while. He didn't try to stop me. There was a brief second when excitement exploded inside me, propelling my hand all the more quicker, millimeters away from touching the black cloth.
Ghost grabbed my hand mid-air, his reflexes acting lightning-fast. I started. Drums began to pound in my ears. My heartbeat rose about ten notches. He had his entire hand wrapped around my wrist, and he slowly eased it down until it was parallel with my body.
"A villain can choose to reveal his identity, but not knowing is the beauty of mystery," Ghost said lowly, his right hand coming up to push back a loose strand of hair from my face. "Now close your eyes."
Reluctantly I shut my eyes, but not because he had commanded the action. It was more out of fear of what was going to happen next.

He smiled. The devil himself couldn't have crafted a more wicked grin. "What do you say we play a game, little Reaper?" I narrowed my eyes, trying to decipher his intentions. "What kind of game?" His grin widened, showing the tips of his fangs. I watched the prince curiously as he strode over to his bag. With a swift motion, he withdrew a bow and a quiver of arrows, flinging them at my feet without so much as a second glance. I furrowed my eyebrows, casting him a look of uncertainty. That sinister grin stayed plastered upon his lips as he said, "Run." *** I, Skyla Ashforth, am what some might call a "sociopath." It was a title that fit. Why shouldn't I embrace it? I am a vampire slayer, a Reaper of bloodsuckers, and an exceptionally good one, if I do say so myself. Yes, being a sociopath has its perks; I could manipulate and deceive with the best of them. So, when captured by the notorious Red Prince, I embraced the challenge of manipulating my freedom. Pierce Darcee, was a sadistic vampire with a God complex. The fool actually believed he could break me. Little did he know, I was the kind of Reaper who would dance through a battlefield, whistling a merry tune as I twirled my braids. I relished the challenge of manipulating his oversized ego, planning to stab that rotting, blackened heart of his with a venom-laced dagger. I crafted a scheme so delightful, so intricate, that I couldn't help but salivate at the prospect of victory. It was foolproof, or so my mind believed. But then... then there was that pull. That unexpected, unwelcome spark that ignited something within me. Feelings, of all things! Now, that was a complication. Disgusting, messy feelings that could very well lead to my destruction. Or his. It was a dangerous game we played, but then again, the most thrilling ones usually are. *Rated M for Murder, Mayhem, and some profanity. Sorry but no smutty interludes. You've stumbled into a blood bath, not a bodice ripper.*

"Take your hand off me mutt this is the last time I am warning you," I spoke with a fake smile still on my face. It seemed that he had finally gotten the hint that I was done with playing around as his hand came to a halt. He glanced my way, and gauged that he could still push me more. "That's rather harsh of you to say, darling, considering you were begging me to continue touching you earlier today" My head whipped back faster than a boomerang traveling at the speed of light ready to give him a piece of my mind. "You fucking assho-" Feeling the tightening of his grip on my hip as I slid down to give my butt a squeeze. I was rendered speechless. Zero always found a way to win the argument using his conniving tricks. And he always did it with a smirk on his face. "Now don't cause a scene, your sister just got here " "This isn't over," "Never is," he smiled. *** Raised in a world filled with supernaturals Max was educated to detest werewolves the most. " You can't do this mission alone! I won't allow you to make reckless decisions based on your emotions, Via." Exhaling, I cross my arms around my waist and stare at him with frustration. "You can be mad all you'd like, it's not going to change my decision." Getting up from the black leather chair I walk towards the wooden door and go to push it open with my right hand until I hear him behind me. "Via, I'm serious. Listen to me, going alone is a suicide mission, I'll send someone experienced to go along with you when you're ready to leave." He exhales and sits down in his chair with his hand in his chin. I glance at him, my silver eyes burning a hole right through him as I huff and open the door all the way and exit his office. A dark alleyway creeps up in view as I sprint down the weathered cobblestone, leaving wet footprints as I dart into the small spot. The full moon beams down from the sky, illuminating the small buildings up against each other for support. The smell of rain and sea water infiltrate my nose as I breathe in heavily, exhaling as I remember that it's only half past 12 a.m. Slowing down to a walking speed, I glance around me and cover my face with my dampened hood and keep my eyes fixated on the sleek ground below me. My mission: to infiltrate the Six Eyed Serpent, an organization of the most wanted and criminally insane. The top 4 leaders of the group are identified by the creeping two headed snake symbol. And let me rephrase, this isn't just my mission, it's my death wish. A suicide mission. No one has ever faced any of the Six and lived to see the light of day. This is my story, about an experienced assassin going up against the most ruthless group of people the country as ever seen.

#2 in Horror. /02.23.16/ I hear footsteps approaching me, pacing faster and faster making me look back quickly. I see a man in a black fabric mask wearing all black clothing. I widen my eyes beginning to run in the snow making my feet heavy. "Help! Somebody help me!" I scream in a cry looking around to find nobody on sight. "Help!" I scream trying to run faster hoping somebody would hear my cries. My throat became sore from the cold quickly making it harder to breathe freely. "Help me! Somebody!" I hear the tall figure run behind me feeling a grip on my hair. My white ski hat fell into the ground covered in snow. The man groans pulling my hair towards him making me collapse. "No, stop!" I scream struggling from his grasp, punching and kicking aimlessly. "Shhh." The man whispers into my ear grabbing onto my wrists starting to cuff them. "No!" I scream twisting and turning trying to bite the man's arm. The man doesn't say much. The only thing I hear is his heavy breathing. He starts to shackle my ankles together as I lay a full blown kick into his face making him groan in pain holding onto his nose on top of the mask. "Help me, somebody!" I keep yelling as he kicks me in the stomach and takes out a clothed bag from his coat pocket putting it on my head covering my face. He ties it up from the back tightly making my neck feel pressured. "Please." I whimper. "You don't have to do this." I cry admitting defeat. "Night, night." He chuckles hitting me behind the head making me loss consciousness. WARNING: Will contain very disturbing content. This book is not for individuals who are sensitive to these topics. I woke to a sudden breeze invading the warmth from the heavy blanket that caressed my skin. Here, alone with my thoughts, the still, calm quiet in the atmosphere is almost painful. I feel suffocated in the clingy, static air. In quiet, still moments like these, I can almost feel Him. I don't know who "Him" is, but I can feel his presence. It's almost calming, especially on fearful, anxiety fueled nights. Usually, he was the strongest when I had a nightmare. The nightmares weren't as common now, but, right after everything happened, I was having them every night. I'd wake up and swear I was drenched in blood, my eyes and lips sticky, my nose filled with the smell of iron and fuel. After everything, that's when Him first came. From there, he just never left. I can usually sense when Him is near. Today, though, his presence is stronger. I can almost feel Him next to me, weighing down the mattress. Some nights, I roll over and imagine how he looks, envision his smile or the sparkle in his eyes. He's never there and I'm left clutching to the thought that he exists, staring into empty air. Tonight, though, I swear I can reach out and touch him. Extending my hand gently, I sweep my hand out into the darkness and meet an inexplicable warmth. A scream rips from my lungs as hands cover my face and two icy blue eyes stare back at me, daring me to speak again. A soft cloth caressed my nose and mouth before I felt myself fade into bed.
