Derek Hale and Louis Tomlinson have been close family friends growing up. Their parents went on a vacation together but never came back. They got in a car accident on their way to the airport where they would have gone to the Bahamas, spending a week there. That was 11 years ago, when Derek was 19 years old and Louis was only 16. Derek took custody of all nine kids, including Louis. Two years later, when Louis turned 18 he took custody of all his brothers, yet continued living at the Hale home. Soon enough Derek and Louis began to grow closer over the years, leading to a relationship being formed when Derek was 25 and Louis was 22. Ever since that moment they have not looked back, only moving forward with their family and growing closer together each day.
