The local drunk, a broken warlock, the latter only known by a select few. Its modern day 2019. one thousand five hundred years 2 weeks, and four days since he lost everything. He lost Arthur, Gwen, freya, Gwaine, Lancelot, percival, his father, his mother, the list goes on. Merlin has lost more than that. After fighting in almost every more he is experiencing the turmoil. Diagnosed by a therapist with PTSD, ADHD, Severe anxiety, Separation anxiety, and depression. Merlin knows there is more to his list of problems, but right now he doesn't care. But he soon does when Arthur returns and he doesn't take it to seriously at first but when Albion's time of need arises will the young warlock succeed in mending his mind just enough so he can take out the threat or will he need a little help? who knows fate has been rather cruel, and I don't think she will show mercy.

Mens Contritum is latin for broken mind. The language suits the time frame in which merlin lives. Merlin does speak latin in the book. If there are latin words translations will be at the bottom of the page. This is strictly Bromance and canon pairings. there is NO merthur involved. Be warned there is mention of suicide, cutting, panic attacks, alcohol, drinking and maybe mention of drugs. If you do not like this please do not read. For now it will be rated mature. I hope you enjoy this modern day twist on the TV show series Merlin.
