Waiting Around To Die *Book 1*

When it began, we didn't really know what to think of it. We thought it was just the flu and it would pass within a couple of months, we didn't realize that the flu was what would cause the apocalypse. Humanity was barely clinging onto life but despite all this, we still continue to fight and start wars.

'Mother nature wanted to cleanse the earth of this virus' Is all that I would tell myself, not that that makes it any better. But the thing was, the virus is us, humans. Tate is a 17-year-old girl, not the greatest relationship with her Dad but when everything went to hell, it somehow brought peace between the two. I guess they suddenly realized that right now there were other things worth worrying about.

Between the walkers and the humans, she couldn't tell what was worse. Even with this disease that spreads by bites, we still seem to rip apart this earth. Maybe we were hoping for a better future by building a community, but even with walls around us and a roof above our head, we still seem to burn it all down.

I guess it 's better than waiting around to die..
