In the middle of the end of the world, Kari, Danny, and Laney are everything to each other. They have been from Florida to Texas to New York and still haven’t found any one. Laney heard everyone was told to go to Washington, but Kari isn’t so sure anyone is even alive anymore. After all, what is the point in believing in life when you have traveled across half the US and found no one alive? Laney doesn’t agree with Kari though. She believes that finding no one just gives them more of a chance to find more people in Washington. Maybe even find love. Laney is a huge hopeless, love-at-first-sight, romantic while Kari just wants to find someone else to talk to other than Danny and Laney. So, what happens when Laney finally convinces Kari to give Washington a chance? Will Laney find love? Will Kari find a new friend? Or will things go from crappy to deadly in a matter of moments for the lonely group?
Cedric had to watch his mother die from a mysterious cause and still he can smile. His brother, Sam, and father, Zane, aren’t so lucky. They are too sad to smile and can’t think of a reason to anyways. After all, the world is ending. Sam wishes he could have a chance at what his mother and father had but the world is at its end so how can that even happen anymore. Zane wants the best for his sons but doesn’t think living is even worth it anymore. Cedric wants a new friend but thinks finding his soul mate would be even better. When they find out everyone is being told to go to Washington, Cedric jumps at the opportunity and drags his brother and father with him. Will things turn out like the men hope they will? Or will Washington be just another empty city?

Find out as you follow them from the beginning to find out what caused this mess in the first place.

Will they let go of each other for good or will the tether that's always held them together prove stronger after all? *there are sensitive subjects talked about regarding grief and loved ones receiving cancer treatment. my goal is to treat these topics with complete respect and care.

"I love you," Johnny murmured, clutching my wrist to the point I could not pull away no matter how much I tried. "Stop it," I snapped, "Stop saying that!" "But I do, I love you, I want you, I need you to remember," He was pleading now. "Stop, quit pretending-" "There is no pretending," Johnny said with absolute clarity. "I love you and I will love you until the day I die. You don't remember now, but you used to love me too Rosey. And I will love you until you love me again, even after I die, and if there is a life after this I will love you then, too." I stared at him as he poured his heart out; he was moving away, for once he wasn't trying to get me to love him. I was doing it myself. "Will you ever give up on this?" I asked. Johnny shrugged, "Someday, I suppose I'll give up, and sit in a rocking chair. But I'll probably be rocking fast, because I don't know what I'll do without you." ----------- Rosemarie Curtis' story has seemed to come to an end. Everything is lost. Nobody can forget. Nothing is the same. Now the gang seems to have to wrestle the past, rebuild on the ruins inside them. But sometimes life has a twisted way of bringing back something you've lost. For Rosemarie's story is just beginning. But there was no way the gang could scrape the earth clean, and keep thinking they could start again. Because even though Rosemarie is alive, her memories of the past are gone. Her mind had left them; she has now gone wild and wary. She remembers no feeling, no hurt, and no loving. Johnny must cope with losing his only love, while her thoughts swim between them, hidden under rocks, disappearing in weeds, and he fishes for them, dangling his own memories like bait and lures. But how can you love someone you don't remember loving? How can you remember something you don't want to remember? And how can the gang hold together when everything has fallen apart?

******* Every story has an end. But in life, every end is a new beginning.******* ------------------------------------------------------------ His voice was a little shaky now and I could see how he struggled to even keep his eyes open. But what he spoke next shook me completely. "You know, It was very difficult in the start to convince her. Ananya had a line of billionaires waiting for her. And I was at the end. But I guess the highest bidder always wins. You pay her more and she is yours." I stared at him in disbelief. It was quite embarrassing for me and it certainly did make others uncomfortable too. I decided to excuse myself, but he held onto my hand. "Oh am sorry. I was just kidding sweetheart. Sit my love. Sit with me." His shaky voice spoke those words but I knew he didn't mean them. Or did he? --------------------------------------------------------------- This story is about Ananya, a girl from India trying to build a new life in US. This is her journey as she tries to build a life on the ruins of her past. A past she never speaks of, a past that still haunts her. She only has Mrs. Donavan as her family and Alex as her best friend who secretly is in love with her. Unaware of Alex's feelings for her she meets Nathan, who would bring about a chain of events in her life that would ultimately lead her to the love of her life.
