I let a tear drop and say a silent prayer of protection for my Jayna while I jump for the shadow along the wall of the hallway. As I sever his head, my heart slows down and I drop to the floor next to where his head lays. The sword that went through my chest reflects the light from the
kitchen. The shadow pulls the knife out of my chest and pushes me to the ground. My last thoughts Jayna be strong. Everything goes black.

Lee Nadine was born into wealth and power, the daughter of Lee Janghoon, a man who owned empires in real estate, airline management, and finance. What she never knew-until it was too late-was that her father was deeply entangled in the underground world of crime, ruling over the city with an iron grip. At seventeen, Nadine fell deeply in love with Jay, an ordinary boy with nothing but a cold, expressionless face and an unwavering heart. While she was fiery and fearless, he was quiet and intense-his love never spoken but always present in his actions. Despite coming from vastly different worlds, their love was something undeniable. Others tried to tear them apart. Classmates whispered that Jay wasn't worthy of someone like her. He was poor, barely able to afford tuition, while she was destined for greatness. But Nadine never let their words get to her. And Jay? He never cared for their opinions. As long as she chose him, nothing else mattered. But fate was cruel. Her father found out about their relationship and saw Jay as a threat. One night, he gave Nadine an ultimatum-leave Jay or watch him suffer a fate worse than death. The next day, Nadine shattered Jay's heart. She treated him cruelly, making it seem as if their love had been a game, a fleeting amusement before she moved on. And then she disappeared from his life. She left when he needed her most. His father was sick, his world falling apart, and the one person he thought would stand by his side abandoned him. She never looked back.

*Rejected at First Sight* Spin-off series (By GirlWhoChasesRainbow) 🌶 "Oomph!" The sound rushed out of my mouth as the door opened before I could reach the handle and my body hits a wall. I stumble backwards slightly before a hand wraps around my waist, keeping me from falling. Looking up, I realize this wasn't a wall, but instead a very attractive male. A very messy, but definitely sexy, mop of black hair sat on top of his head. When I looked closer, I realized that it was a deep shade of brown that was probably often mistaken for black. My gaze traveled to his eyes, where I found two deep ocean blue eyes looking at me. I kept going further down to his too crooked nose to be called straight, which I assumed came from too many fights. His skin was tanned, but an olive tone suggested he had a natural darker complexion to begin with. My eyes finally found his pink, very plump lips which were resting slightly open. His lips jerked up into a lopsided sneer as his hand snapped back to his side. The sudden movement left my back cold, as if his palm had been a source of warmth. "You've got to be kidding me!" His tone dripped with disgust. My eyes turned to questioning as I looked back up into his eyes. I brought my hand up to rub my nose, squinting at the slight pain. "What the hell." He grumbled. "I, Jay Julian, reject you as my mate." He, or Jay, said with venom lacing his voice. He quickly turned and walked down the now vacant hallway with no glance back. Rejection? What the hell was that? Was it some sort of local lingo? How did I get rejected on my first day? The first person I make eye contact with at this school rejects me. I guess that's how this school works, if the hottest boy in school rejects you, you're a nobody. If that's how this small town school worked, then I was screwed. So much for making friends, or mates, or whatever they call people in this place. I shake those ocean blue eyes out of my head and continue into the office to start my new life.

Braided Halo (Sweden x Abused! Reader)

8 parts Complete

(Eight part story) You looked up to see that your room was completely painted in black, but the words written in red were gone, along with the voices. You shakily got to your feet, thinking it was over with. You were far from right. You looked towards the doorway to try and escape your horrible room. Your eyes immediately widened, filling with tears. You backed away, finally giving up and completely letting your emotions play across your face, despite who was standing in front of your door with a knife in her hand. (I don't own you, Hetalia, the picture, or Sweden. I own the storyline.)
