The whole side of my pack has been cleaning and making our trailer park look presentable. Rumor has it that the young Alpha is coming here, and nobody knows why. He might just be checking our grounds for rogues.
We've been told that his wolf is very territorial and not to cross paths with. For some reason, thinking about him makes my wolf more alert, and less distant. I can feel her looking through my eyes, wanting to see what's happening.
My breath gets caught in my throat as he makes eye contact with me. The smell of pine and lemon fill my nose. As he walks towards me, sniffing the air. I can tell he's having an internal battle with his wolf. His eyes switching from chocolate brown, to a deathly black. All within seconds. He mutters something under his breath that I don't quite catch, but it sends chills through my spine. Quickly, he turns around, slamming the front door, leaving me with his fading scent, a confused Mason and my lonely thoughts.
