When a teenager named Madran in the Japanese metropolis of Shibuya is visited by a mysterious man named Philemon in her dreams, she is tasked with the simple yet vague goal of "assisting the trickster." Then, a weird app that allows her to enter the distorted worlds inside corrupt and evil hearts appears on her phone. She chooses her father and is thrown into a world where evil beings reign, her dad's corrupt desires have taken fruition, and her personality takes form in an evil-fighting spirit named a Persona. She then recruits her other two friends with the goal of mending the hearts of those corrupt and malevolent, discovering just who or what Philemon is and helping the trickster, whoever that is.All Rights Reserved

The Cognition of individuals and society, with those reflecting on how they perceive the world leads to places called Palaces. A Palace is a manifestation of "distortion", strong negative or corrupt thoughts that warp the perceptions of people into a hazard for themselves and others. One person known as Suguru Kamoshida, is a teacher at Shujin Academy who views the school as his own personal kingdom. Sick of the deception, hypocrisy, and corruption around them, the Phantom Thieves are devoted to "stealing" the corrupt hearts of evil adults in order to change and reform society for the better. After taking down Kamoshida, their population slowly grew more taking down one target after the next. Before long they were known as a famous group working outside of the law. The Personas they use are formed by individuals who find themselves in the Metaverse and are dealing with feelings of frustration of being wronged or taken advantage of. Each Persona is different for each member of the Phantom Thieves each passing unique and special powers. Things seem to be going well for them until a new issue occurs as it leads to a new member joining them known as the Vengenceful Thief. Who is this and what kind of Persona does he or she have? In his blind rage, Akira Kurusu, otherwise known as Joker takes matters into his own hands, and stops the mad God in his tracks. Time reverts to its original self, with Akechi dead and gone and Maruki and Futaba alive and well, and Akira in Juvinile Detention. After being freed from prison, he finds out that something went wrong when the timeline was restored. Futaba knows him not as her lover, but merely as his friend. Now Akira must find a way to cope with this new life in Hometown, while trying to juggle the return of the Metaverse, and Futaba tries to find her way through the complex feelings she has for Joker, but can't quite explain, as well as the dreams that almost feel like memories. Will she push through and recover her memories and her love? Or will she and Akira both fade into the Mementos of what they have lost. I took a couple liberties with events and the Timeline, but overall, I stayed fairly close to the original game's story. This is a passion project that sprung to mind while driving, and now I'm hyperfixated... Welp, time to churn out a book. ENJOY READING IT!! But I never lose sight of the real reason why I'm using them. We get closer and closer, and Ren Amamiya, the leader of the group, peaks my interest. We finally become friends, and suddenly, something changes. I must choose what side to stand on, and whether or not using the Joker and his friends is still my destiny.
