My Dear Captain

You've worked for the rich William Family for as long as you can remember, and they love you dearly! In fact, they've helped raise you after your family died when you were a child! One day, while shopping in the market for more food, you catch the eye of the handsome Captain James Nicholls, who is visiting for a few days to get more volunteers in the war. It is quite obvious that he fancies you, and you share his feelings, but there's competition! You believe that he is better off with this other girl, but your Captain begs to differ! Unfortunately the day comes that he must leave for war, and you worry about his safety day and night. You write to each other often, but you wish you could see his loving face again, and pray that he comes back safe. Until the dreaded telegram comes in bearing the worst news imaginable.
