Book One in the "Saving" trilogy.
After suffering a tragic accident when she was thirteen, Hadley Hayes, now seventeen, suffers from PTSD and haunting nightmares. She loves her family but hates her life, she wishes nothing more than to forget everything that has happened. But she can't, just forgetting doesn't come easy.
Everyone thinks she's fine, from the outside looking in, she looks it. She pretends for the sake of her family because they think she is finally starting to get better, but she's not.
But it's him. He's the one who can see she isn't fine. Out of everyone, he's the only other person who's noticed but he also has his own issues.
Austen Wells, the high school delinquent. More just the misunderstood guy, with impulsive anger who doesn't know how to control it.
He bumps into her and immediately sees past her facade, because he's been putting up the same one. He's just worse at keeping it up.
